Values
CORE VALUES
“Carefully Watch Your Thoughts, For They Become Your Words. Manage And Watch Your Words, For They Will Become Your Actions. Consider And Judge Your Actions, For They Have Become Your Habits. Acknowledge And Watch Your Habits, For They Shall Become Your Values. Understand And Embrace Your Values, For They Become Your Destiny.” (Mahatma Ghandi)
Your values represent your internal belief system, and your virtues reflect how you live these out, which impacts the way you relate to others in your personal and professional life. It is almost impossible to separate your personal values/ virtues from your professional ones because you bring 'you' to your workplace! Also, work is usually something we invest in for most of our waking hours.
Trying to 'edit out' who you are at your core or being immersed in cultures and environments which challenge your value system, can lead to confusion, stress and anxiety, burnout, in a great deal of career dissatisfaction, as your inner compass tells you that you are out of alignment and out of integrity.
When our values guide our direction, and our virtues shape our behaviour, we can be authentic in our work, enjoy wellbeing and get clear on our life’s purpose. This is where justice begins, in alignment, authenticity and harmony within.
Amber’s Holistic Justice Law Practice Model™ embraces core values and virtues celebrated by many ancient spiritual texts.
